The third batch of pandemic unemployment assistance benefits will likely reach residents early next week, according to the Guam Department of Labor on Tuesday.
The third batch totals $41 million, including taxes, and covers error-free claims filed through June 12.
“With the third batch of $41 million, this puts us close to $120 million of unemployment relief funds distributed to the people of Guam,” the agency stated.
The first batch of $35 million was released June 22. The second batch of $36.4 million, plus $6.3 million in taxes, went out June 30.
As of Tuesday, 28,022 unemployment claims were filed with the agency. 32,541 employees are reported to have lost work so far, according to the agency.
A processing center at Guam Community College is taking appointments to assist residents without internet access, computer literacy or other logistical issues.
In-person appointments can be scheduled for one-hour slots from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
