Roof of a Sports activities Corridor Collapses in Espoo

ESPOO—HELSINKI—The roof of Esport Area in Tapiola Sports activities Park collapsed on Wednesday morning due to a heavy load of snow that had gathered on the roof of the third ground.

Nobody was injured within the incident.

The third ground is devoted to soccer. The roof is an air-supported construction, a so-called air dome.

One other sports activities corridor with an air dome roof, owned by Helsingin Palloseura in Helsinki’s Pakila district, collapsed between the night time of Tuesday and Wednesday. Nobody was inside through the incident.
