The BCCI on Sunday determined to extend the internet hosting charge of the six state associations staging the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 3.5 lakh apart from mountain climbing the match charge of gamers from Rs 50,000 to Rs 75,000. The T20 occasion that started on Sunday marked the beginning of India’s home season which was delayed by months as a result of COVID-19 pandemic. The match is performed throughout six cities and in a bio-bubble, which will increase the associated fee for the host affiliation.
“After receiving the suggestions from the staging associations on the lately held AGM in Ahmedabad and the following discussions with my colleagues on the BCCI, I’m happy to announce a rise within the internet hosting charge for Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 match for 2020-21 season from the prevailing INR 250,000 to INR 350,000,” wrote BCCI secretary Jay Shah to the six internet hosting associations.
The groups have been divided into six teams — 5 Elite and one Plate and the league stage matches will likely be performed at Mumbai, Vadodara, Indore, Kolkata, Chennai and Bengaluru with the knockouts scheduled in Ahmedabad.
“Additional, the Participation Charge payable to all of the collaborating groups can also be hereby elevated from INR 50,000 to INR 75,000. All these measures are being carried out with a view to help the Staging Associations and collaborating groups for the conduct of the home cricket amidst these unprecedented Covid occasions,” Shah added.
