Spectacular ice eggs have washed onto a seashore in Finland

THE solar glints off this uncommon show of “ice eggs” unfold alongside 30 metres of Finland’s Marjaniemi seashore on Hailuoto Island.

Novice photographer Risto Mattila stumbled upon the sight throughout a stroll and informed journalists it was in contrast to something he had ever seen. Fortunately, he had his digital camera handy. The ice balls vary from the dimensions of an egg to a soccer. Folks flocked to the realm, hoping to catch a glimpse earlier than they melted.
